This position may be accountable for providing personal care and designated health related services designed to maintain the client’s physical and emotional well-being in compliance with the Agency’s policies, procedures and standards for the Home Health Aide. The Ward Secretary is responsible to the supervising nurse.


Education/Training:  High School diploma required. Current Minnesota Nursing Assistant Certificate is required.


  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with clients, family and home care staff members.
  • Must be able to demonstrate efficiency, motivation and competency in skills assigned.
  • Has a valid Minnesota’s Driver’s License.
  • Has reliable transportation to client’s home as assigned.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology, Medicare, welfare and insurance regulations preferred
  • Good communication skills – telephone, verbal and written
  • Friendly personality
  • Must have organizational skills, ability to prioritize job and manage interruptions while maintaining confidentiality.
