Completed residency training at North Memorial Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and in 1987, began practice in Montevideo. Special medical interest is in colonoscopy. He is a member of the Minnesota Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, Minnesota Rural Health Cooperative and on the Home Health and Hospice Board. | Board Certified in General Surgery Born in 1947. Attended Far Eastern University, Manila, Philippines, and graduated in 1970. Completed his rotating Internship at Clark Air Base Hospital, (USAF) Angeles City, Philippines, his surgical Internship at Deaconess Hospital, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Residency at the New Jersey Medical School Surgical Program, Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Briones came to Montevideo in 1977 to begin practice. Special interests are laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy and abdominal surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, a member Camp Release Medical Society, and the Minnesota Chapter of ACS. Appointed clinical professor with the University of Minnesota - Rural Physician Associate Program, Department of Family Practice. Dr. Briones and his wife, Jan, have 5 children. His hobbies include tennis, golf, fishing, chess and reading. |

Finished his residency at Lincoln Medical Education Foundation in Lincoln, Nebraska, and in 2001 began practice in Montevideo. Special medical interest is obstetrics, cardiology and preventitive health. He is a member of the Minnesota Medical Association. He is currently medical director of Luther Haven Nursing Home. She completed her residency at Methodist Hospital and at St. Louis Park Medical Center both in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, and in 1977 began practice in Montevideo. Special medical interest is colposcopy. She is an active member of the Chippewa County Child Protection Team, Camp Release Medical Society, secretary of the physicians group, member of the Minnesota Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Practice. Dr. Lietzau is also appointed as a Clinical Associate Professor with the Department of Family Practice and Community Health at University of Minnesota. Dr. Lietzau and her husband, Dale, have three children. Some of her hobbies include gardening, crafts, collecting wooden butter molds and other antiques, and paddle boating. |

After working in critical care and home care nursing, he obtained a Masters Degree at South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota, where he graduated in 1998 as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. He came to Montevideo in 1998 to begin his practice. Special interests are in health promotion and pediatrics. Gregg and his wife, Gayle, have three children.
